Design Driven Innovation


e, the cofounders of Cross Digital, Caleb and Toby, first met in 2014 after all winning a £16,000 scholarship to attend Lancaster University for the pioneering MSc International Innovation (Entrepreneurship and Design) in its award winning business school. 

The MSc International Innovation incorporated demanding UK-China consultancy projects whilst giving us the opportunity to collaborate with Marketers, Engineers, Designers, Environmentalists and Programmers. Working for companies such as BBOXX, Lancaster University, eBusiness UK, CN Homeland and Institute of Software Application Technology, Guangzhou & Chinese Academy of Sciences(GZIS) gave us direct access to the Founders of these large corporations who mentored us through a tough but rewarding two years. Working closely with successful entrepreneurs gave us the experience, insight and confidence to make the decision to start our own company. 

Our frustration with poor branding, websites, apps and platforms; combined with our shared vision for helping businesses create fantastic online customer journeys, was the catalyst for what came next.

So on the 29th April 2016 in Guangzhou, China, Cross Digital Ltd was established which embodied the co-founders shared values of Integrity, Adaptability, Design Driven Innovation and Entrepreneurial Passion.
While finishing our Masters degrees we partnered with London Shanghai Venture Partners (LSVP) and entered three separate UK-China competitions; HiSTAR Competition (Oxford University), China UK Entrepreneurship Challenge (Lancaster University, University College London) and Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, (China Britain Business Council) to which we became finalists in all three and helped LSVP secure funding. 

Most importantly Cross Digital was validated and we secured the endorsement for Tier 1 Graduate Entrepreneurship Visa for our co-founder Caleb Adamu who is from Ghana; and we won our first client! Supported by the Lancaster University Enterprise Team, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) and infused with an unrelenting desire to challenge the status quo, we were determined to help our first client become the market leader and we continued to win new clients. Our first client Amcor Resourcing saw its turnover increase by over 800% in its second year.

By continuing to upskill in Web Design, Digital Marketing, IT, Artificial Intelligence, Data Protection, Automation, we have improved our services and offer sophisticated solutions, strategies and tangible results. 
Our mission is to understand our customers needs, offer innovative solutions and design bespoke tangible products.This is still our greatest mission today!
